                     National Gallery of Art, Washington (L.1932d).

Inscribed in pencil on the verso 'By Exchange E. Mongan National Gallery April 1950'. Elizabeth Mongan (1910-2002) was curator of the Lessing J. Rosenwald collection.

Very rare print of only a small number of impressions known. With thread margins around and trimmed to the platemark.

The print has been transferred to lithographic stone for Le Musèe. Revue du Salon de 1834, where Alexandre Decamps comments the paintings by Delacroix refused by the official Salon in Paris, including the painting Rencontre de Cavaliers Maures (private collection).
