Size of sheet: 25 x 33 cm. Size of plate: 15.3 x 20.2 cm. Alfred Grévin was a French caricaturist, sculptor and theatre costume and set designer. In 1882, he founded the Musée Grévin with Arthur Meyer, a museum of life-size wax mannequins which allowed visitors to put a face to the names of the day.
